Geerz Races in the Youth Village League

This year, more than 450 youth rode with Geerz in 12 cities, from North to South.

66 of our youth village riders took on the added challenge of training to compete in the Israel Cycling Federation's Youth Village Racing League. These youth trained harder, learned to work as a team, roll with more challenges, and put themselves on the line - to both fail or succeed in competition against hundreds of other riders. Their madrichim shared how their participation helped these kids progress further in building their camaraderie, competence, and belief in themselves.

Geerz is proud of all of our riders taking on the challenges of the trail and of the progress they've made through this challenging year. Thank you to all our families, partners, donors, and GIG riders who have made their achievements possible. If you would like to become a sponsor for our Geerz groups, contact tobey@geerz.org or donate online.

Geerz Tributes to Our Fallen Heroes

Too many of us in the Geerz community have experienced personal loss over the course of the war. At Geerz, we are committed to do our part to continue these fallen heroes' legacies through our shared love of community, sports, nature, and our Land. Geerz was privileged to bear dedications in memory of David Schwartz, HY"D, Yosef Malachi Guedalia HY"D, Lior Sivan HY"D, and Binyamin Airley HY"D.

We are humbled and privileged to have programs that bear their names and will do our best to live up to their legacies. May Hashem bring peace soon, in our days.

New Soldier Program Launch

In response to a growing awareness of soldiers returning from service, struggling to reintegrate into civilian life - from family to work, Geerz rider and volunteer, Dov Frohlich, realized how Geerz could be an effective intervention for these soldiers. Dov and Avi Staiman volunteered as project leads, and together with Geerz launched a pilot program for soldiers. The pilot took place in Shavei Darom in March-April, with 100% of participants saying they would want to continue and it helped them.

Geerz is slated to open another program in Maale Adumim, partner with Metiv Israel Psychotrauma Center and Heart2Heart to run groups in the Fall.

Geerz thanks the donors, GIG riders, and partners who have underwritten the initial costs for this program. If you would like to become a community liaison to help start a Geerz soldier program in your area or to donate, please contact: tobey@geerz.org.

An Epic Geerz 2025 Charity Ride

The 9th Annual Geerz Israel Charity Ride hosted 100 riders from across Israel - from Jerusalem, Netanya, the Gush, Ra'anana, Beit Shemesh, Yad Binyamin, Modi'in, Hashmonaim, and even the USA. In less than a week after the Ride, more than half of this year's participants had already signed up for next year!

We were truly blown away by the enthusiastic feedback we received from the Ride. Geerz wants every GIG participant to feel and know how much they matter. Your support fuels a uniquely effective therapeutic sports intervention to help hundreds of people throughout the country. We cannot thank our GIG participants and their backers enough for showing up each year to be there for Geerz and our riders.
