Registration

Registration for the 2026-2027 riding season is now open. The first day for Beit Shemesh groups is Friday, October 9, 2026. We are so excited that you have decided to join Geerz! Register now to ensure your child(ren) a spot!

If you have any questions, and you do not find the answer on our FAQ page, do not hesitate to contact Miriam our Program Coordinator at: miriam@geerz.org or 058-766-2212.

Registration Process

  1. Please fill out the online registration form.
  2. Upon completing the online form you will be sent a confirmation e-mail with instructions of what your child(ren) needs to bring with them each ride and the bike guidelines that are required to participate.
  3. Your child will be placed in a group based on the following criteria: age, safety, skills and ability. If there are not enough participants to form a group with your child's age and skill level, then you will be informed of your options before we place your child into a group.
  4. You will be informed of your child(ren)'s specific time and meeting location closer to the start of the riding season, after groups have been formed.
  5. All Beit Shemesh groups meet on Fridays starting either at 1pm or 1:15pm. For other locations, look at the details advertised for your specific location. Each ride is 90 minutes.

Please note that registration does not guarantee your child a spot, as groups fill up quickly. We will make every effort to accommodate all families.

Cost

  • Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Geerz participants enjoy our quality program at a cost similar to other after-school programs in your city. The actual cost per child for the Geerz professional therapeutic program is 4,500 ₪.
  • The cost for riding with Geerz in the majority of our cities is 1,800 ₪ for the year.
  • (Certain locations may incur a higher price due to higher costs of running the program in that city.)
  • There is an additional 200 ₪ registration fee. This registration fee covers insurance, one Geerz riding jersey, one pair of riding gloves and basic bike maintenance required during a ride, including inner tubes to repair flats that occur during the ride.
  • The following chart shows the total cost, depending on your city and number of children:

Discounts

  • Early Bird Registration Discount: If you register and pay your deposit (see below) for the 2026-2027 riding season before 14/8/2026, there will be a discount of 100 ₪ off the registration fee.
  • Survey Discount: If you are a returning family and you fill out the end-of-year survey, you receive ₪50 discount.
  • Sibling Discount:
    • For the first child: you pay the full price.
    • For the second child: you will receive a 50% discount on the registration fee and a 5% discount on the annual tuition.
    • For the third child: you will receive a 75% discount on the registration fee and a 10% discount on the annual tuition.
  • Scholarships: There are scholarships based on financial need. See the next section.

Scholarships

  • Scholarships are available to families experiencing financial difficulty.
  • In order to qualify for a scholarship, a letter from your community Rav or Kupah on official letterhead confirming your situation will need to be provided.
  • Families receiving a scholarship agree to fill out a survey at the end of the year.
  • Families will indicate the scholarship amount requested, and this will be taken into consideration when the scholarship application is evaluated.

Payment

  • Payment can be made online by credit card, or by horaat keva, check or cash.
  • Payment for the 2026-2027 riding season can be made in one payment, or can be prorated over a maximum of 10 installments, to be completed no later than 31/7/2027.

Deposit

  • Children who register and are accepted are welcome to attend the first session of the season as a trial ride, without paying the full registration and tuition fees.
  • However, a non-refundable 100 ILS deposit per child is required to secure a spot and receive the geerz riding jersey and riding gloves, which are mandatory for all sessions.
  • If you withdraw your child before the first session and your child does not pick up their jersey or gloves, or if no group forms in your city, your deposit will be returned.
  • This deposit will be applied towards the total amount due for families who decide to remain.
  • Once you decide to join Geerz, you are required to either pay in full, or to arrange payment in up to 10 monthly instalments. Please make sure that this is done by your child's second Geerz session. If your payment for the 2026-2027 riding season is not arranged by 15/12/2026, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the balance due. Without arranging payment, your child will be unable to attend further sessions.

Joining / Withdrawing Mid-season

  • The following is based on 2,000 ₪ cost for the year.
  • Late Sign-ups: If there is space in the group, and it’s before Chanukah (our usual cut-off date), we allow new kids to join. You will receive 25 ₪ off for each session missed due to starting late. Registration fee (200 ₪) remains the same.
  • Withdrawing your child mid-season: Your total cost is based on the number of rides your child attends, as follows:
    • 1 ride: 100 ₪
    • 2-3 rides: 100 ₪ registration fee + 60 ₪ per ride
    • 4+ rides: 200 ₪ registration fee + 60 ₪ per ride
Thus we will calculate your total cost based on the above chart and the number of rides your child attended and deduct that from the amount you paid and refund you the difference, per the guidelines below:
    1. Within the first half of the riding season, if the participant wants to stop, a prorated refund for the subsidized cost of the remaining rides will be returned. If the registration fee was waived, then it will be deducted from the amount to be reimbursed.
    2. After the midway point, refunds for the remaining rides will be given out only under extenuating circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, injury or family turmoil. Geerz holds the right to decide if the circumstances warrant a refund. If the registration fee was waived, then it will be deducted from the amount to be reimbursed.
